Ranveer Singh & Excel in Rs 40 Cr Don 3 Dispute
10 Feb
Summary
- Excel Entertainment seeks Rs 40 crores from Ranveer Singh.
- Dispute stems from Singh's reported exit from Don 3.
- Producers Guild of India is mediating the financial conflict.

A significant financial dispute has arisen between actor Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment, the production house behind the anticipated film Don 3. Following Singh's reported departure from the project, Excel Entertainment is seeking Rs 40 crores in compensation for alleged losses incurred during pre-production.
Sources indicate that Excel Entertainment claims substantial investments were made in scheduling, location scouting, and hiring crew based on Singh's commitment. The production house asserts that pre-production moved forward only after receiving Singh's approval for the project.
Ranveer Singh reportedly contests the financial demand, arguing he should not be liable for leaving the film. His stance is that he departed due to script dissatisfaction and requests for script changes were not adequately addressed by the production.
To resolve these differences, representatives from Ranveer Singh and Excel Entertainment met recently but reportedly failed to reach an agreement. The Producers Guild of India has now intervened to mediate the situation, aiming to find common ground and prevent further escalation of the dispute.
Neither Ranveer Singh nor Excel Entertainment has released an official statement regarding the ongoing conflict. This disagreement surfaces as Singh prepares for the release of his film Dhurandhar: Part 2, while Excel Entertainment reassesses its project slate.
