- Ranveer Singh received an extortion threat from Bishnoi gang.
- Security was tightened around Ranveer's residence.

Actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were recently seen at an event in Mumbai, showing solidarity with Deepika's father, badminton icon Prakash Padukone. This outing occurred amidst heightened security around their residence following an extortion threat targeting Ranveer Singh.
The event, 'Beyond Winning: What Sports Cultivate in Children,' featured Prakash Padukone discussing youth development through sports. The couple, accompanied by Ranveer's mother, attended the panel session, with Deepika later joining dignitaries on stage.
The threat to Ranveer Singh reportedly involved a demand for Rs 10 crore via a WhatsApp voice note from a number traced to the United States. Preliminary investigations suggested a Bishnoi gang associate named Harry Boxer as the sender, issuing the threat shortly after a firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty's home.
In response to the threat, security was enhanced around Ranveer's residence. The Crime Branch initiated collaboration with US authorities to trace the number and identify the sender. Meanwhile, Ranveer is preparing for 'Dhurandhar 2,' set for a March 19 release, while Deepika is slated to appear in 'King' and another project.
