Bollywood Star Ranbir Kapoor Praises Malayalam Superhero Film 'Lokah'

As of September 29th, 2025, the Malayalam superhero film 'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' continues to garner praise from Bollywood celebrities. The latest to join the list of admirers is actor Ranbir Kapoor, who recently shared his thoughts on the film during an Instagram live session.

Celebrating his 43rd birthday, Ranbir went live on the page of his lifestyle brand Arks, where he revealed his current music playlist. The actor expressed his fondness for the film's music, particularly the song "Barbaad" from "Saiyaara" and the track "Sahiba." Ranbir also called the film itself "excellent," indicating his appreciation for the overall cinematic experience.

Interestingly, Ranbir is not the only member of the Kapoor family to have praised 'Lokah.' Earlier, his fiancée, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt, had shared her admiration for the film on her Instagram Stories, describing it as a "fresh blend of mythic folklore & mystery." Alia expressed her joy over the film's positive reception, stating that she will always be eager to show her love and support for such cinematic endeavors.

Meanwhile, 'Lokah' continues its strong theatrical run, with its box office collections crossing the ₹200 crore milestone worldwide. The film has seen a jump in earnings, earning ₹1.6 crore on Day 31 and ₹1.46 crore on Day 32 in the Indian market. While the Malayalam version remains the strongest contributor, the Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi versions have also been minting comparatively lower box office numbers.
