The Los Angeles Rams recently introduced new uniforms, billing them as a step forward with a 'cleaner' and 'bolder' aesthetic. However, this announcement was met with widespread fan skepticism, as many observers found the new designs to be remarkably similar to previous iterations. The team released a promotional video that, rather than clarifying the changes, depicted designers sketching and quarterback Matthew Stafford modeling the attire. Upon closer inspection, the uniforms bear a strong resemblance to those worn in the 1980s and early 1990s. While the Rams did alter their color scheme during their St. Louis tenure (1995-2015), their recent focus has been on reverting to traditional elements, excluding occasional 'color rush' alternates.

Among those who perceived differences, reactions were varied. Some appreciated the subtle adjustments, such as revised shoulder horns and the removal of name tags, and the elimination of gradients, which they identified as a key issue with prior designs.
