In a recent exclusive interview, veteran Bollywood filmmaker Ramesh Sippy has opened up about his surprising acting cameos over the years. Best known as the director of the iconic 1975 blockbuster Sholay, Sippy has now shared details about his forays into acting.
Sippy revealed that he had a small but impactful role in the 1960 film Bewaqoof, starring Kishore Kumar and Mala Sinha. He played the young version of the legendary actor Pran, knocking out the teenage Kishore Kumar in a boxing ring scene. Sippy explained that the part was originally meant for someone else, but the director was not satisfied with the performance, leading Sippy to volunteer for the role.
