Ramayana Set for Global Immersive Release in 2026

Namit Malhotra's "Ramayana Part 1" is poised for a groundbreaking global cinematic release during Diwali 2026, featuring two parts planned for subsequent years. A new partnership with CJ 4DPLEX will bring the epic to over 1,200 SCREENX and 4DX auditoriums worldwide. This marks a significant milestone as "Ramayana Part 1" will be the first Indian film to be released in the SCREENX format, which expands the viewing experience onto side walls for a 270-degree panorama.

CJ 4DPLEX executives expressed excitement for the collaboration, highlighting "Ramayana Part 1" as an ideal spectacle for their immersive technologies. The film's combination of sweeping scale, emotional depth, and action makes it a perfect fit for both SCREENX's expanded visuals and 4DX's multisensory effects. This includes motion-enabled seating and environmental stimuli synchronized with the film.

The film's distribution is extensive, with Dharma Productions handling North India and Sony Pictures International managing international markets. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Ramayana Part 1" features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi. "Ramayana Part 2" is anticipated for a Diwali 2027 release, further solidifying the franchise's global ambition.
