Indian Epic 'Ramayana' Set for Worldwide Immersive Release

The upcoming film Ramayana is set to make history with its worldwide release in ScreenX and 4DX formats this Diwali. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first Indian movie to be launched in the ScreenX format globally. The agreement with CJ 4DPLEX will ensure the film is accessible in nearly 1,300 ScreenX and 4DX auditoriums across the world.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the film is produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios. Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman are composing the musical score for the epic retelling. ScreenX offers a 270-degree viewing experience by extending the film onto side walls, while 4DX enhances the narrative with motion-enabled seating and environmental effects like wind and scent.

Ramayana is the first of two live-action films based on the Valmiki-attributed epic. The second part is currently in production and is scheduled for a worldwide Diwali 2027 release. This global theatrical rollout in premium formats is anticipated to offer audiences a distinct and immersive way to experience the film's grand visuals and action.
