Ramayana Film Splits for Global Audiences

Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious two-part film adaptation of Ramayana will feature separate versions tailored for Indian and international viewers. The English-language cut is reportedly nearly 30 minutes shorter than its Hindi counterpart, with certain scenes trimmed and songs removed to appeal to overseas audiences.

This cinematic strategy acknowledges differing audience preferences, with Indian viewers accustomed to longer films featuring musical numbers. The international version aims for a more streamlined narrative flow. Part 1 of Ramayana is slated for a global release on November 6, 2026, with its Indian debut following on November 8, 2026, timed for Diwali.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with a notable supporting cast including Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. The production boasts an international technical team and music composition by Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, underscoring its global ambitions.

'Ramayana: Part 2' is anticipated for a Diwali 2027 release, though a specific date is yet to be confirmed. The project aims to present a grand spectacle of Indian mythology for a worldwide audience.
