Ramayana' Poised to Break Dhurandhar's Rs 3300 Cr Record

The 'Dhurandhar' franchise, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has achieved a remarkable box office feat, grossing over Rs 3300 crore worldwide. This makes it the second-highest-grossing Indian film to date, following closely behind 'Dangal'. Trade analyst Vishek Chauhan lauded the film's comprehensive commercial appeal and execution, comparing its grand scale to classic entertainers.

Despite 'Dhurandhar's' immense success, Chauhan expressed confidence that the upcoming mythological epic 'Ramayana' could set a new box office benchmark. He highlighted the strong pre-release buzz surrounding 'Ramayana,' its beloved subject, and the compelling star cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol. Chauhan believes the film has the potential to attract audiences from all demographics and significantly outperform previous records, provided it connects emotionally with viewers, a sentiment he felt was missed by 'Adipurush'.

'Ramayana' is being produced as a two-part cinematic saga, with the first installment slated for release around Diwali on November 6. Reportedly produced with a combined budget of approximately Rs 4000 crore, the film has already generated significant excitement. Its first teaser has garnered widespread attention, fueling discussions about its ambitious scale, casting, and visual effects.
