- Ram Charan trained rigorously for over sixteen months for the role.

Actor Ram Charan is undergoing a remarkable physical transformation for his role in the film 'Peddi'. Director Buchi Babu Sana and Ram Charan collaborated closely with fitness trainer Rakkesh R. Uddiyar to craft a unique character arc.
Uddiyar, who has worked with Ram Charan for over sixteen months, detailed the specific physique targeted: a 'desi pehalwan' look with broad shoulders, a prominent chest, abs, and lean legs, diverging from the conventional 'Greek god' aesthetic.
The training regimen was intense, incorporating weight training, fasting cardio, and traditional Indian exercises like kushti and gada. Ram Charan's diet adhered to carb cycling, ranging from 1,800 to 2,500 calories daily, with an initial phase requiring a calorie deficit for a leaner appearance.
Challenges included Ram Charan's annual Ayyappa Mala fast, necessitating a difficult adjustment to a strictly vegetarian diet during training. Despite demanding schedules, Ram Charan demonstrated exceptional dedication, often starting workouts at 4 am.
Uddiyar, who previously trained Salman Khan for 'Sultan' and 'Dangal', noted Ram Charan's impressive performance in replicating kushti moves, comparing the actor's dedication to Khan's in Bollywood.
The comprehensive training program has spanned over sixteen months, building upon Uddiyar's prior experience training Ram Charan for the 2017 film 'Dhruva'. The third physical transformation for 'Peddi' remains a surprise for fans.
