Rakuten Viki Unveils Trio of Captivating K-Drama Originals

Rakuten Viki, the popular streaming platform, is ramping up its original content offerings with the upcoming premiere of three highly anticipated K-drama series.
In the coming weeks, Viki will debut "Moon River," a historical drama set in the Joseon era. The series follows Crown Prince Lee Gang, played by Kang Tae Oh, who vows revenge after his wife is executed in a politically motivated death sentence. His quest takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a traveling merchant, Park Dal I, portrayed by Kim Se Jeong, who bears an uncanny resemblance to his deceased wife.
Viki will also premiere "Last Summer," centered on twins Baek Do Ha and Baek Do Yeong, both played by Lee Jae Wook. The siblings grow up on different continents following their parents' divorce, reuniting only for three weeks each summer. Years later, as adults, a tragedy forces Do Ha to reveal a painful truth to their friend, Song Ha Gyeong, played by Choi Sung Eun.
Additionally, the streaming platform will exclusively offer the thriller "Dear X" in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. The series stars Kim You Jung as Baek Ah Jin, an actor who maintains a glamorous public image while concealing a traumatic past that drives her to manipulate others as revenge. Her only trusted ally is lifelong confidant Yoon Joon Seo, played by Kim Young Dae.
These new Viki Originals join the platform's expanding slate of exclusive content for its 100 million-plus registered users worldwide.
