In July, the actor was sentenced to three months imprisonment in each of these cases, with the sentences running concurrently. The Delhi High Court had ordered him to pay Rs 1.05 crore in each case. Following this, Yadav approached the Supreme Court.
On September 8, 2026, the Supreme Court granted Yadav interim exemption from surrendering. This relief is contingent upon his depositing Rs 5 crore with the court's Registry by September 24, 2026. The cases involve allegations related to dishonored cheques issued by his production company.
