Wife Denies Rajpal Yadav Release Rumors, Bail Hearing Monday

Actor Rajpal Yadav continues to be held in Tihar Jail as his cheque-bounce case is ongoing. His wife, Radha Yadav, has clarified that rumors of his release are untrue, stating that his bail hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 16. Yadav is reportedly doing okay in custody.

The legal troubles for the actor began in 2010 when he borrowed Rs 5 crores for his directorial debut, 'Ata Pata Laapata.' Following the film's poor box office performance, repayment issues led to a prolonged court battle. The outstanding amount, including interest, has now escalated to nearly Rs 9 crores. While Yadav has deposited Rs 75 lakh, a significant portion remains unpaid, leading to his surrender and subsequent custody.

Radha Yadav expressed hope for a swift resolution to the matter, stating, "We are hopeful that he will be out soon." She also acknowledged the support from the film industry, mentioning that many individuals have stepped in to help, though she refrained from naming specific individuals or amounts. The family remains united during this challenging period, and they are grateful for the concern shown by fans and colleagues alike.
