The loan was reportedly taken by Yadav in 2012 for his film 'Aata Pata Lapata.' Following alleged non-repayment, the bank took possession of the mortgaged assets. The Shahjahanpur properties consist of agricultural land, a village house, and a city-based property. Yadav's wife and mother also reportedly provided their properties as guarantors.
This development is part of ongoing financial recovery efforts, as Yadav also faces a separate cheque-bounce case. The total value of the properties up for auction is estimated at Rs 3.19 crores. The bank's recovery proceedings may also extend to properties in Mumbai.
