Summary
- Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 hit 200 crore worldwide in two days.
- This marks Rajinikanth's ninth 200 crore grosser globally.
- He now shares the record for most 200 crore films with Vijay.
Rajinikanth's "Jailer 2" has made a powerful debut, achieving over 200 crore at the worldwide box office within its first two days of release. This rapid success has propelled the superstar into an elite club, matching a significant record held by another prominent actor.
The film's impressive performance marks Rajinikanth's ninth venture to cross the 200 crore global gross threshold. This accomplishment places him in a tie with Thalapathy Vijay, who also has nine films that have achieved this box office milestone among South Indian stars.
With Thalapathy Vijay having recently retired from acting, Rajinikanth is in a prime position to potentially surpass this record. Prabhas is also noted as a strong contender, currently holding seven 200 crore grossers and with several films in the pipeline that could see him challenge both actors' records in the near future.
