Riteish Deshmukh's period drama "Raja Shivaji" has demonstrated robust performance at the box office through its second day. The film garnered Rs 10.55 crore nett on Saturday, building upon its initial success. This brings the total domestic nett collection to Rs 21.9 crore since its release. The movie, which pays homage to the bravery of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has also seen a decent start in its Hindi rendition.
The film's performance reveals a distinct audience preference between its language versions. On Day 2, the Hindi version contributed approximately Rs 3.40 crore with an overall occupancy of around 20.46%. In contrast, the Marathi version was a clear frontrunner, earning about Rs 7.15 crore and registering a strong 55.71% occupancy. The gross collection for "Raja Shivaji" has now reached Rs 26.06 crore, with the Marathi version driving its overall success.
