Raj Mandir, renowned as India's premier single-screen cinema, has reached its 50-year milestone on June 1, 2026. To commemorate this golden jubilee, the theatre is hosting complimentary screenings of five highly acclaimed films. The selected movies include "Chupke Chupke" (1975), "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" (1994), "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" (1985), "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (1995), and "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara" (2011).
Interestingly, "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" had its original 1995 release missed by the theatre due to prior commitments. Its inclusion in the anniversary celebrations marks a special occasion, with permission granted by Yash Raj Films. "Chupke Chupke" also receives its first-ever screening at Raj Mandir, as it predates the theatre's operational start.
The theatre has a rich history, with "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" setting a record with a 525-day run, followed closely by "Ram Teri Ganga Maili" at 497 days. The venue has hosted over 45 films that completed more than 100 days of screening, with 10 of these being from Rajshri Productions.
