Further complicating the narrative, actor Rishi Kapoor stated that he had located Raj Kiran in a mental health facility in Atlanta, Georgia, with the actor reportedly managing his own treatment. However, Raj Kiran's daughter, Rishika Mahtani, has refuted these claims in 2011, asserting that her father was not being treated in Atlanta and that the family is still seeking his whereabouts.
