"Ephemera" centers on two young women whose lives are on different paths. One character is preparing for a move from Shanghai to Los Angeles, while a dance teacher invites her to explore the city. Their connection deepens as the departure date approaches.
Director Shan Jiang described the film as exploring a short-lived romance that resists ending. The film was written and directed by Jiang, who also produced it with Yinx Zhou and Sol Ye. ArtChais Technology Co., Ltd. facilitated the deal with Cappu Films.
Cappu Films is actively engaging with potential buyers at the Busan International Film Festival's Asian Contents & Film Market. The company's slate also includes other diverse titles, such as "Fox Hunt" and "Banr."
