Inside Out's 10th International Film Financing Forum, presented by Netflix, is set to take place in Toronto from May 28-29. This event will feature eight distinct film projects, providing a platform for their creators to secure international financing and distribution.
The forum's core mission, established a decade ago, is to assist LGBTQ+ filmmakers in navigating the complexities of the global sales and distribution market. This year's event feels particularly crucial given the current political and economic climate, reinforcing a commitment to empowering independent queer cinema.
The selected projects include a variety of genres, such as "Summer in Heat," "Suffering is Optional," "Little Phnom Penh," "Out in the Dunes," "Jo & Frankie," "August," "Pickups," and "Better Left Unsaid." These teams will have the opportunity to connect with executives from prominent organizations including Netflix, Orion Pictures, Killer Films, Telefilm Canada, and GLAAD.
