As of April 19, 2026, the Royal Family is marking what would have been Queen Elizabeth II's 100th birthday on April 21st through a series of public service memorials.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to visit the British Museum to review the design for the Queen Elizabeth II national memorial in London's St James Park. The King will later host a reception at Buckingham Palace.
The Princess Royal will inaugurate the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Regent's Park, another tribute to her mother's public service. Additionally, a global digital memorial is being established to enable widespread contributions of personal memories.
Award-winning historian Dr Anna Keay has been entrusted with writing the late monarch's official authorized biography. Dr Keay has been granted access to the Queen's personal and official papers held within the Royal Archives, as well as opportunities to speak with individuals who knew her well.
