PUBG: Battlegrounds has introduced a new limited-time PvE mode called PAYDAY, a collaboration with Starbreeze Entertainment. This update shifts the focus from battle royale to cooperative four-player heists. Players can select from five classes, including Assault, Medic, Tank, Marksman, and Ghost, each offering unique strengths and abilities to encourage strategic team play. These classes allow for diverse skill builds and the unlocking of new abilities and weapons through successful missions. The mode introduces a fresh gameplay experience that expands upon PUBG's traditional format with more strategic, team-driven elements.
The PAYDAY mode allows squads to infiltrate high-risk locations, similar to those found in PAYDAY 3, such as The Exchange and Diamond District. Players must work together to secure valuable loot, including cash and jewelry, while fending off waves of security forces. The gameplay offers a choice between stealthy approaches or a more aggressive, loud strategy. This limited-time event is accessible on PC from May 13 to June 17, and on consoles from May 21 to June 25, providing a significant departure from the typical PUBG survival experience.
