Psychic Foretold Mariska Hargitay's Rise to TV Stardom

In a recent interview, acclaimed actress Mariska Hargitay, 61, opened up about her early career aspirations and the surprising prediction that set her on the path to stardom. Hargitay, who has played the iconic role of Olivia Benson on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit since 1999, shared that she initially wanted to be a comedian.

During her 20s, Hargitay performed improv with comedian Kathy Griffin and even auditioned multiple times for a role on the hit sitcom Friends, though she never landed the part. However, a fateful encounter with a psychic on Long Island would change the course of her career.

The psychic told Hargitay that she would become famous for the "face" she was making during their conversation, despite her insistence that she was destined for a career in comedy. "I said, 'Uh, no.
