The electronic music pioneers, The Prodigy, have paid a touching tribute to their first manager, Ziggy Chowdry, who died last week at the age of 60. Chowdry met the band while working as a local promoter and became their initial manager in 1991, securing their first performance at the 4 Aces in Dalston. The band described him as a 'force of nature' on Facebook, expressing their sadness.
This news comes nearly seven years after The Prodigy experienced the profound loss of founding member Keith Flint, who died by suicide in March 2019 at the age of 49. The surviving members, Liam Howlett and Maxim, have continued to honor Flint's legacy. They are scheduled for a series of significant live performances throughout 2026, including a 12-date arena tour across the UK and Ireland in April and May, followed by four major outdoor shows.
Liam Howlett has also hinted at new music, describing the forthcoming material as 'f***** evil rave,' an evolution of their signature sound. He emphasized that Keith Flint's spirit remains deeply integrated into The Prodigy's creative process, influencing their sound even after his passing. The band's decision to return to live performances after Flint's death was an emotional journey, ultimately affirming their path forward with the support of their audience.
