Summary
- Video resurfaced showing same fans approaching Chopra twice.
- Critics accuse star of hiring fake fans for publicity.
- Others defend Chopra, suggesting fans had many items.

A resurfaced video from 2017 has led to accusations that Priyanka Chopra engaged in a public relations stunt by hiring fake fans. The footage captures the actress being approached by the same male and female autograph seekers on two separate occasions at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
During the first encounter, Chopra paused to sign autographs. However, the same duo reappeared as she was exiting the terminal, seemingly signing the exact same items again. This incident, reshared by a social media user, was described as a 'peak PR stunt' to fabricate media footage.
Critics online expressed embarrassment and questioned the authenticity of the interaction, noting the unusual behavior of carrying notebooks and pens for autographs in the current era. Some speculated the individuals were well-compensated.
However, not all viewers were critical. Some defended Chopra, suggesting that the fans might have had a substantial number of items for her to sign. This defense offers an alternative perspective on the resurfaced video.
The video's resurgence comes shortly after Chopra's appearance as a presenter at the Oscars. She also attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party with her husband, Nick Jonas.
Chopra previously attempted a music career in the early 2010s, releasing songs like 'In My City' with will.i.am and 'Exotic' with Pitbull. She has since acknowledged that music was not her forte, returning to her acting career.
Her recent acting credits include 'The Bluff,' available on Amazon Prime Video. She is also set to star in 'Varanasi,' her first feature-length film in India since 'The White Tiger' in 2021, with a planned release in 2027.
