Priyamani Admits She and Cousin Vidya Balan "Have Never Been on Talking Terms"

In a recent interview, actress Priyamani opened up about her relationship with her cousin, Bollywood star Vidya Balan. Despite being second cousins whose grandfathers were brothers, the two have never been particularly close.

Priyamani candidly admitted, "We have never been on talking terms in that way, even though we are related." However, she maintains a closer bond with Vidya's father, stating, "Balan uncle is in regular touch with me, and if he can't reach me, he calls my father and they talk."

While the personal relationship between the two cousins may be distant, Priyamani holds Vidya's professional achievements in high regard. She described Vidya as "a phenomenal actor" and expressed her eagerness to see the actress return to the screen, saying, "I can't wait for her to come back on screen. As an audience member, I really miss the powerful actor that she is."

Vidya Balan was last seen in the 2024 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which was a massive box office success.
