Priyadarshan's New Comedy Reunites Legends

Filmmaker Priyadarshan is preparing to direct a new comedy feature, reportedly starring Pankaj Tripathi, Annu Kapoor, and Saurabh Shukla in key roles. This project is anticipated to capture the signature situational humor seen in Priyadarshan's earlier successful comedies.

The narrative centers on three elderly men navigating through unusual and challenging circumstances, a theme consistent with the director's style. The film also signifies several reunions, with Pankaj Tripathi collaborating with Priyadarshan after 16 years, and Annu Kapoor reuniting after over three decades.

Priyadarshan intends to complete this film swiftly, with principal photography scheduled to begin in July and conclude within two months. This venture will precede his milestone 100th film, a project planned with Mohanlal and targeting a November 2026 start.

Meanwhile, Priyadarshan's recent horror-comedy, Bhooth Bangla, has reportedly achieved significant box office success, surpassing Rs 100 crore in its initial five days, prompting discussions about a potential sequel and franchise expansion.
