Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie Embrace Amid Royal Turmoil
8 Nov
Summary
- Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie spotted hugging in London
- Their father, Prince Andrew, has lost all royal titles and honors
- Andrew's ties to Jeffrey Epstein led to his downfall

On November 6, 2025, Princesses Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, were spotted hugging each other on the streets of London's Mayfair district. The sisters, who are the daughters of Prince Andrew, were dressed warmly in long coats as they embraced in front of a parked car.
This public display of affection comes just three days after Eugenie was seen out with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, in West London, marking their first appearance since Buckingham Palace announced that their father, Prince Andrew, had officially lost all of his royal titles and styling.
The palace's decision to strip Andrew of his titles and honors was made on October 30, 2025, by King Charles, 76. The former Prince Andrew, Duke of York, will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, using the royal family's surname for direct descendants of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

Andrew's downfall is largely due to his ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In November 2019, Andrew's disastrous BBC Newsnight interview about his relationship with Epstein led to his step-back from public life. In January 2022, Queen Elizabeth stripped her second son of his military titles and patronages after a judge rejected his attempt to have Virginia Giuffre's sexual assault lawsuit against him dismissed.
Despite the ongoing turmoil, Beatrice and Eugenie will retain their royal titles and styling as Her Royal Highness, as they are the daughters of a son of a sovereign, in accordance with King George V's Letters Patent of 1917.
