In a recent podcast interview, Charles Spencer, the 9th Earl Spencer, shared that his sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale, 70, suffered a "really bad fall" while riding last month. Lady Sarah, the eldest sibling of the late Princess Diana, has been hospitalized for an extended period due to the serious nature of her injuries.
According to Charles, the lead doctor caring for Lady Sarah described her as "quite a character" as a patient, hinting that she may have been a handful. Charles also recalled his sister's adventurous spirit from their childhood, recounting how she once "rode her horse into the hall" of their family's stately home during an argument with their father.
Despite the accident, Lady Sarah remains an active equestrian. She is known to have stayed close with her nephews, Princes William and Harry, and was involved in the process of commissioning a statue to honor her late sister Diana, which was unveiled in 2021. Lady Sarah's resilience and strong personality have clearly been lifelong traits.
