The Prince founded the Earthshot Prize in 2020, inspired by John F. Kennedy's Moonshot project. The initiative sets five goals: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate. Each winner receives £1 million.

William has committed to the prize until 2030. This year's winners are set to be announced at a ceremony in Mumbai in November. Last year's ceremony, held in Rio de Janeiro, featured notable attendees and performances, highlighting the global impact of the prize.
