Prince William Admits Smartphone Access a "Tense Issue" for Royal Kids

In a recent interview, Prince William has opened up about the challenges of raising his three children - Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 - in the digital age. The royal heir admits it is "really hard" to protect his kids from the harms of social media and the internet.

William revealed that his children currently do not have cell phones, a decision that is becoming a "tense issue" at home. The prince explained that he and his wife Kate Middleton are being cautious about when to allow their children access to smartphones, with the plan to give George a basic phone with no internet when he starts secondary school next year.

"We communicate why we don't think it's right," William said, emphasizing his concerns about the unrestricted access children can have online. The prince joked that he is often the "taxi driver" for his family, shuttling the kids to their various activities and school.
