Prince Harry Sued by Own Charity, Sentebale

However, the tour is overshadowed by a libel lawsuit filed against him by Sentebale, the charity he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. The High Court in London has received papers from Sentebale, accusing Harry and former trustee Mark Dyer of defamation.

This legal battle is the latest in a public dispute between Prince Harry and Sentebale's chair, Dr. Sophie Chandauka. Harry resigned as patron last year, citing a breakdown in the relationship with the board. The charity alleges Harry and Dyer conducted a 'media campaign' causing reputational damage and diverting resources.

Sentebale, a charity dedicated to supporting children affected by HIV and Aids in Africa, has seen donations significantly decrease following Harry's departure. While Dr. Chandauka states litigation costs will be covered by external funds, the source of this funding remains undisclosed. The charity is seeking restitution, potentially amounting to millions, amid claims of a 'coordinated media campaign' against them.

Previously, the Charity Commission cleared Harry of allegations made by Dr. Chandauka. Despite these findings, the dispute continues, raising questions about Sentebale's focus on its mission to help vulnerable children.
