As of October 30th, 2025, Britain's Prince Andrew, Duke of York, is set to lose his royal titles and be evicted from his home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles III has "initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours" of his younger brother.
The palace statement notes that Andrew "continues to deny the allegations against him," but adds that "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse."
In addition to stripping Andrew of his titles, the palace has also served him formal notice to surrender the lease on the Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion he has been living in rent-free. The property, which was previously the home of Queen Elizabeth II's mother, will now be reclaimed by the Crown Estate.

The move comes as the fallout from Andrew's ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continues to intensify. Just this week, the posthumous memoir of Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts Giuffre was published, detailing further allegations against the prince. Andrew had previously reached a legal settlement with Giuffre, but has maintained his innocence.
