Prime Video is set to adapt the popular 'Boys of Tommen' book series, a New York Times bestseller that gained significant traction on BookTok. The upcoming series will draw from the first two novels, 'Binding 13' and 'Keeping 13,' chronicling the compelling romance between Johnny Kavanagh, a promising rugby player, and Shannon Lynch, a reserved student at Tommen College. This adaptation is a key initiative for Prime Video's international content chief, Nicole Clemens.

The series promises to explore the forbidden love story set against the backdrop of Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. Both lead characters harbor significant secrets: Johnny is dealing with a potentially career-ending injury, while Shannon faces a difficult home life. The production is a collaboration between Drama Republic, Temple Hill, and wiip, with filming slated to commence this year, potentially leading to a 2027 release.

Nicole Clemens, who joined Prime Video last summer, is prioritizing the development of a UK and Ireland slate and identifying shows with international appeal. She aims for Prime Video to be a transparent and efficient partner for producers, emphasizing a desire for entertaining yet meaningful content.
