- Historic move marks a global expansion for the awards.

For over two decades, Premios Juventud has celebrated Hispanic youth culture, and this year marks a significant evolution. The event has expanded into a week-long festival, PJ Fest, featuring creator initiatives and live concerts across multiple U.S. cities before its grand finale in Marbella, Spain, on September 3rd. This expansion signifies a historic milestone, transforming the show into an immersive international festival.
The 23rd edition of Premios Juventud is particularly meaningful, with Univision's commitment to global reach post-merger. This move to Spain, a year and a half in the making, involved extensive collaboration with Spanish partners. Voting for the 50 award categories began on August 10th at PremiosJuventud.com.
A unique aspect of the awards is the 'Agents of Change' category, honoring artists for their social impact. This year's recipients include actor Antonio Banderas, singer Marc Anthony, reggaetón artist Yandel, and the band La Oreja de Van Gogh. Their philanthropic work ranges from supporting local foundations and underserved communities to promoting educational initiatives and mental health awareness.
The festival boasts a diverse lineup of Latin stars and emerging artists. Premios Juventud will broadcast live in the U.S. on Univision and its sister networks, as well as stream on ViX. A special co-production with Televisión Española will air live from Spain, featuring dedicated segments during U.S. commercial breaks, further localizing Latin culture for international audiences.
