Preity Zinta Credits Bobby Deol for Her Bollywood Journey

Actress Preity Zinta recently acknowledged Bobby Deol's pivotal role in launching her career at the trailer launch event for her forthcoming film, Vibe. Zinta revealed that Deol's recommendation to directors Abbas-Mustan was the catalyst for her entry into Bollywood. This introduction led to her signing initial projects like Soldier and Kya Kehna, with the latter being produced by Ramesh Taurani, who is also involved in Vibe's music. Zinta emphasized her luck in starting with such significant films.

The enduring friendship between Zinta and Deol dates back to their 1998 film Soldier. Deol affectionately calls Zinta by the nickname 'Pritam Singh,' a jest that originated on the Soldier sets. Following their initial success, they collaborated on several other films, including Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and Heroes.

Zinta frequently shares nostalgic content on social media, recalling her experiences with Deol. She once posted about their first outdoor shoot in Australia for Soldier, which coincided with Deol's honeymoon, playfully noting she was the 'third wheel.' She expressed her admiration for Deol and his wife, Tanya, highlighting their enduring bond and calling them a 'sweetest couple.' Deol also recently supported Zinta by attending the launch of her luxury jewelry brand, Jacarti Jewellery, in Mumbai.
