Pranutan Bahl Seeks More Visibility as She Expands Her Bollywood Repertoire

In 2025, rising Bollywood actress Pranutan Bahl is making waves with her diverse film choices and aspirations to expand her visibility in the industry. Pranutan, who made her memorable debut in the 2019 film Notebook, produced by Salman Khan, has since appeared in two online releases - Helmet (2021) and Amar Prem Ki Prem Kahani (2024).

Pranutan has now confirmed that she has bagged an international film titled Coco & Nut and has two more projects in her kitty - a cop drama and a folk thriller. The actress has expressed her desire to be seen more on the big screen, stating that she feels she deserves greater recognition for her work.

Interestingly, Pranutan's family has deep roots in Bollywood. Her father, Mohnish Bahl, has worked extensively with renowned filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya, and Pranutan has revealed that she has reached out to the Barjatya family, including Sooraj ji and his son Avnish, for potential collaborations. She even auditioned for Avnish's film Dono (2023), despite being in the same school and class as the director.

Pranutan also fondly recalls her interactions with Rani Mukerji, who worked with her father on the 2000 film Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye. Pranutan reminisced how Rani, who addressed her father as "dada," was kind to her on the sets and even gave her a loving kiss on the cheek when they met during a Durga Puja celebration.

As Pranutan continues to navigate the complexities of the film industry, she remains determined to showcase her talent and expand her repertoire, both in Bollywood and beyond.
