Pranav Mohanlal's horror thriller Dies Irae has emerged as a box office winner in India. Released on October 31, 2025, the film has exceeded expectations and is on track to challenge the domestic collection of Mohanlal's previous hit, Hridayapoorvam.
After a good start, Dies Irae has maintained its pace at the box office. In the third week, the film continued its strong performance, earning 52 lakh on the third Friday, day 15, and witnessing a 71.15% growth to score 89 lakh on the third Saturday, day 16. This impressive performance has allowed the film to surpass the global total of Hridayapoorvam, which earned 40.12 crore net at the Indian box office.
With its continued success, Dies Irae is now poised to overtake Hridayapoorvam's domestic collection in the coming days. The film, directed by Rahul Sadasivan, also features Sushmita Bhat, Gibin Gopinath, and others, and was produced by Chakravarthy, Ramachandra, and S. Sashikanth under the banners of Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios.
