Pradeep Ranganathan's Films Avoid Diwali Clash, Reschedule Releases
7 Oct
Summary
- 'Love Insurance Kompany' postponed from Diwali to December 2025
- 'Dude' starring Pradeep Ranganathan to release on Diwali as planned
- Makers cite "genuine concern" for Pradeep Ranganathan and "respect for efforts" behind both films

In a move to avoid a box office clash, Pradeep Ranganathan's upcoming films 'Love Insurance Kompany' (LIK) and 'Dude' will no longer be releasing simultaneously this Diwali. The makers of 'LIK' have announced that the film's original Diwali slot has been postponed, with the new release date set for December 18, 2025.
The decision comes after initial plans for both Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer films to hit theaters in October were re-evaluated. The producers of 'Love Insurance Kompany' stated that the overlap would have been "counter-productive" and that they have "thoughtfully decided to reschedule" the release to give each film its own space.
Despite efforts to coordinate with the team behind 'Dude', an agreement could not be reached. The makers of 'LIK' expressed their "heartfelt wishes" to the 'Dude' team for a "joyous Diwali and a grand success at the box office." With 'LIK' now slated for a December release, 'Dude' starring Mamitha Baiju opposite Pradeep Ranganathan will proceed with its scheduled Diwali premiere on October 17, 2025.
