After a 22-year hiatus, the celebrated 90s comedic pairing of Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu is set to captivate audiences once again in the upcoming zombie film, 'Bang Bang'. Directed by Sam Rodrigues, the movie marks a significant reunion for the duo, whose last on-screen collaboration was in the 2004 film 'Engal Anna'.
Director Sam Rodrigues envisioned a zombie universe, drawing inspiration from the established friendship between Prabhu Deva and Vadivelu to create a unique cinematic experience. He noted the exciting prospect of Vadivelu engaging in zombie combat, promising a fresh take on the genre that is not solely a zombie comedy.
The film boasts a unique shooting location, with much of the principal photography taking place near the active Bromo volcano in Indonesia. This adventurous choice aims to provide an authentic and visually striking landscape for the narrative, distinguishing it from typical film settings.
'Bang Bang' also features a special song dedicated to the legendary duo, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has crafted a modern soundscape incorporating electronic, rap, and heavy metal elements. The film's action sequences, including stunts and makeup, are being executed with a focus on live effects rather than CGI, enhancing the immersive quality.
