Power Trip, the acclaimed thrash-metal group, has announced their return with a double single, marking their first musical output since the passing of their former vocalist, Riley Gale, in 2020. The new tracks, "Precinct 3" and "Scavenger," are now available.
Following their reunion in late 2023, the band has enlisted Seth Gilmore, a longtime friend and vocalist for Skourge and Fugitive, to front Power Trip. "Precinct 3" is accompanied by a music video directed by Eric Richter.
Founding guitarist Blake Ibanez shared that the songwriting process focused on what Gale might have wanted to explore lyrically, making the creative endeavor feel natural and respectful. The new music was produced by Jacob Hansen, with Ibanez also serving as a co-producer. An album is slated for release next spring.
