Possession Remake: Margaret Qualley Stars in New Supernatural Thriller

The cult classic supernatural thriller 'Possession,' originally released in 1981, is being reimagined for a new generation. The highly anticipated remake is scheduled for a theatrical debut on June 11, 2027.

Directed by Parker Finn, who previously helmed the successful horror film 'Smile,' this new version stars Margaret Qualley and Callum Turner as the central couple. The narrative delves into a spy's troubled relationship with his wife after she requests a divorce and begins exhibiting concerning behavior.

The original film, written and directed by Andrzej Zulawski, has garnered a significant cult following for its intense performances and surreal exploration of marital breakdown. Finn's adaptation is expected to infuse the material with his signature horror sensibilities while preserving the core themes of a disintegrating marriage.

The cast also includes Diego Calva, Madeline Brewer, Emory Cohen, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, and Paul Dano. Production is overseen by Finn himself, alongside Jonathan Fass, Roy Lee, Andrew Childs, and Robert Pattinson, with Marc Bienstock serving as executive producer.
