Posh Spice Reflects on Spice Girls Reunion: "I've Never Forgotten Where I've Come From"

In October 2025, Victoria Beckham, formerly known as Posh Spice, opened up about her time with the Spice Girls in a new Netflix documentary. Beckham, now 51 years old, discussed reuniting with the girl group years after they parted ways in 2001.

During the Spice Girls' Return of the Spice Girls Tour in 2008, Beckham revealed that Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) had warned her, "Don't forget where you've come from." Beckham said this comment "did upset" her at the time, but she has "never forgotten where [she's] come from." She acknowledged that Posh Spice was the reason she is where she is today, even if Posh "might have been grumpy."

Beckham found it was "good to be back" with the Spice Girls during the tour, but she ultimately realized she "didn't belong on stage." The group had taken an indefinite hiatus in 2000 before reuniting for the 2008 tour and a performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

Despite the difficulties, Beckham expressed her love for the Spice Girls, saying, "I'm so proud of everything we did. I wouldn't have been who I am now if it wasn't for the Spice Girls, 100 percent." She has remained in touch with her former bandmates, recently having dinner with Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and receiving a message from Mel B (Scary Spice) over the weekend.
