Popeye Sequel Filming: More Kills, Gore!

Principal photography has officially started for "Popeye The Slayer Man 2," the follow-up to last year's independent horror feature. The production is currently based in upstate New York. Daniel Baldwin and Avaryana Rose are among the new actors joining the cast for this installment.

The film revisits the character of Popeye, whose consumption of tainted spinach in the previous movie transformed him into a homicidal maniac. This sequel will see Popeye seeking revenge after his home is destroyed, all while law enforcement closes in and his estranged family attempts to reconnect with him.

Producer Jeff Miller highlighted that "This movie is bigger and bloodier than the first. More kills and gore and more Popeye backstory." The cast includes returning actors Sean Michael Conway, Elena Juliano, Sarah Nicklin, Nathan Todaro, and Jason Stephens as Popeye. Baldwin is set to play the town's mayor, with Rose as his daughter.

Robert Michael Ryan is directing from a screenplay by John Doolan. The film is a collaborative effort involving several production companies including Salem House Films and Millman Productions.
