Pooja Bhatt Recalls Father Mahesh Bhatt's 'Shut Up' on Set

Pooja Bhatt recently shared an anecdote from the filming of the 1991 hit movie Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin. During an appearance on Indian Idol, she recounted how her father and director, Mahesh Bhatt, once told her to "shut up" on set. Bhatt, then in his 40s, directed a 19-year-old Pooja in the commercially successful romantic comedy.

Pooja Bhatt expressed her profound gratitude for Mahesh Bhatt's dual role in her life as both a father and a director. She highlighted the collaborative nature of filmmaking, acknowledging the contributions of various crew members beyond the actors. Bhatt also reflected on the inherent risks in filmmaking, noting how success is credited to actors while failures fall on the filmmaker.
