Poehler & Ferrell: Skating Fails & Film Flops

Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell recently reflected on their time working together, specifically recalling their experiences making the 2007 ice skating comedy "Blades of Glory." Poehler confessed that she initially believed learning to ice skate would be easy but found it to be a significant challenge. She and Ferrell acknowledged that their professional ice skating doubles were far more skilled.

Ferrell shared some humorous anecdotes from the film, revealing that he had his custom-made red jumpsuit, designed to represent fire, framed and displayed in his garage. The duo also touched upon their 2017 collaboration, "The House." Poehler noted its poor reception, with Rotten Tomatoes scores initially low, although Ferrell maintained it had a funny premise and was enjoyable.

"Blades of Glory" was a box office success, grossing over $145 million. In contrast, "The House" struggled financially, earning only $34 million against a reported $40 million budget. Ferrell is slated to appear in a new Netflix series, "The Hawk," premiering on July 16, alongside fellow SNL alums Molly Shannon and Chris Parnell.
