Pixar's 32nd animated feature, titled 'Gatto,' is scheduled for theatrical release on March 5, 2027. Directed by Enrico Casarosa, known for 'Luca' and the short 'La Luna,' the film introduces Nero, a black cat living in Venice.
Nero finds himself indebted to a formidable feline mob boss, leading him to forge an unexpected friendship with a young human girl. This connection is pivotal as Nero, a cat often associated with bad luck, discovers his purpose.
The teaser trailer for 'Gatto' highlights its unique, painterly art style, which was described as resembling moving watercolor concept art when previewed last year. This distinctive visual approach has been a significant talking point for the upcoming animated feature.
