Lois "Double L" Lewis, a decorated radio personality with 10 years at KNIX-FM, had her career abruptly halted while on vacation in Mexico. She received a difficult phone call from her boss, informing her of her termination as part of iHeartMedia's nationwide layoffs. This news came as a shock, leaving Lewis feeling reduced to a mere "line on a spreadsheet" despite her accolades, including Major Market Personality of the Year in 2021.
Lewis is now pivoting to a new chapter, launching a podcast with her husband titled "Married to Radio." This venture explores a blend of music, media, and their marriage. The podcast is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, July 12, 2026, with episodes planned to be 27 minutes long, a nod to a significant date in the couple's relationship. Lewis expressed a desire for a morning show in her future, potentially outside of Arizona.
