Phil Dunster, celebrated for his role as Jamie Tartt in the popular series Ted Lasso, is stepping into the dragon-slaying world as he takes on the character of Eret. This live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon 2 sees Dunster inheriting the role originally voiced by Kit Harington. Dunster expressed that he is looking to Harington's performance for inspiration, aiming to capture the swagger and charm of the "finest dragon trapper alive."
In this iteration, Eret works for the antagonist, Drago Bludvist, portrayed by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. The production, which has been underway since January, is helmed by Dean DeBlois, the director of the original animated films. The sequel also features Gerard Butler and Cate Blanchett reprising their roles as Hiccup's parents, adding to the anticipated ensemble.
