Collins recounted feeling that McCartney spoke to him in a condescending manner, recalling an instance where he asked McCartney to sign a book.
McCartney reportedly reached out to Collins via email in 2016, expressing disappointment over the drummer's public comments. Collins stated McCartney used the word "sacrosanct" in his message. However, the two musicians have now "made up," according to Collins, with McCartney agreeing to donate memorabilia to a King's Trust charity auction in Los Angeles this November.
Collins expressed happiness that the issue was discussed and resolved, stating he wishes he hadn't made the original comments, though acknowledging the incident did happen. This reconciliation comes as Collins also recently mended his relationship with his daughter, actress Lily Collins, following a public disagreement detailed in her memoir.
